of all the creatures to draw, humans have to be the hardest. i still cant grasp and capture the human form very well after looking at it and drawing it many times. the weight shift and very subtle movements are really hard to capture. ive gotten tons better at drawing humans since high school, but most of it is still a distant dream. ive taken it upon myself in every free second i have to observe human expression and placement for different expressions and movements, as well as proper shape form and proportions of the human body. for the past few years my stance and perspective on life have change drastically, beause im able to look at the world at an artists viewpoint. you really start to notice the details in everything around you, both good and bad. that being said im working specifically at the face right now, mostly on ears, mouths and eyes, and its already making progress.

i had a few friends tell me that they have seen my work around the internet without any credit given to me. i was hoping that the art community and beyond would respect my work but i guess thats just not possible. so from now on i will be posting artwork with a custom watermark to prevent people from taking credit from me. im sorry it had to come to this.

im starting to get a handle on photoshop more, artwork is getting down faster than ive ever been able to do, mainly because of all of the shortcuts ive learned. college is doing good, but im swamped in work. im kind of worried about some of my grades, but im sure ill do fine.

I've been focusing a lot on cartoons and less realistic things because I've been discouraged to actually try to do humans and humanoids again. I'm just not feeling it. its kind of annoying to be completely honest. i try to put it on paper, and it turns out like shit and i get frustrated and throw it out. they just don't look HUMAN no matter how hard i try. i used to decent at it, but the talent for drawing people the months over the summer and late spring has almost completely diminished. you'd think the art classes at BCCC would be able to get me out of my slump, and i am beating everyone at the assignments, pretty badly actually, but to no avail. when i get better at drawing people off of the top of my head again i will post what i can. until then expect things like cartoons and landscapes. then again its not like anyone actually goes on my page, LOL
